The Cheriton

The Cheriton Nursing Home has occupied part of the current site since the early 1900s when it provided midwifery services to Swindon and surrounding areas.

In the 1960s the owners decided to focus their attention on providing quality care services for the elderly. This has proved to be so successful that The Cheriton has expanded and now occupies the site of six houses in Westlecot Road and is registered for 45 residents.

In March 2010 The Cheriton Nursing Home was purchased by Cleeve Hill Healthcare Limited who are based in Cheltenham and run the very successful Cleeve Hill Nursing Home, also domiciliary businesses, Cleeve Link Limited and Cheriton Link and a national 24 live in care service.

Maura and Robert Flexer, the owners of Cleeve Hill Healthcare Limited, bring to The Cheriton Nursing Home a wealth of experience within the healthcare sector. The nursing home is a family run business offering a welcoming, homely and sociable environment. Over the next year there will be significant investment in the nursing home to improve the interior and external facade of the building. This will include the introduction of new lifts to make access to the upper floors easier for both residents and their visitors.
