Activities

Activities

The Cheriton provides a relaxed, happy and informal atmosphere. We take an interactive and holistic approach to activities and aim to give stimulation either collectively or individually to each of our residents, by way of encouraging them to participate in the following activities:

  • Art, drawing and painting
  • Knitting and other crafts
  • Creative arts such as model making
  • Flower arranging and summer planting
  • Bingo, card games, puzzles and word games
  • Reminiscence therapy
  • Cookery
  • Trips out to the countryside for picnics and sightseeing in our mini buses
  • Outside entertainers and trips to local theatre
  • A mobile library service is also provided
  • Holy Communion takes place once a month

We also like to organise seasonal events such as Christmas parties, Easter bonnet competition and garden fetes where residents, their relatives and visitors, and staff can all interact and participate as much as they like.
