Individual Choice

Individuality is at the heart of our programmes. You are welcome to make your room your own, with special mementoes, photographs and items of furniture and in some cases, pets can be accommodated too. Bedrooms are brightly furnished with electric beds, usability aids and eight rooms have modern, well equipped en-suite bathrooms.

There are seven companion rooms, which offer the benefit of sharing with another resident and enjoying the friendship and companionship of each other, without compromising on privacy.

We have weekly visits from the hairdresser, chiropodist and physiotherapist including bed or chair exercises for less able participants. All laundry is taken care of by the dedicated housekeeping team all of whom take great pride in keeping the home spick and span.
Together, our overall aim is to help residents live as they choose, with the personal freedom, care, assistance and facilities they require.

Dignity and Privacy

We want you to treat The Cheriton Nursing Home as a home from home and that includes a high degree of privacy. Your dignity will be upheld at all times and it is our policy to knock before entering any resident’s private room whether the door is shut or open. Within your room there are door locks, safes and lockable cupboards.
