Social Events

Social Events for our Residents are an important part of their life at the nursing home and we endeavour to make such events as diverse and special as possible.

Birthdays and special occasions are celebrated at the nursing home and we take pride in putting on special parties for residents, their friends and relatives.

Our activities personnel also arrange trips to places of interest: visiting country gardens or parks, or just a ride out into the countryside in the spring time to admire the blossoms. As well as picnicking by the river edge to enjoy the boats, ducks and swans in our special mini buses. These trips are of course always supervised by our own care staff.

Another favourite is the Summer Fayre where everyone can join in the fun and enjoy the music and dance provided by outside entertainers, as well as sample our homemade produce such as cakes, scones and different jams. Our cream teas and soft drinks are always very popular.

We also provide special events in-house such as virtual trips around the Mediterranean to sample the different customs, food and traditions of different countries through the use of video films and talks, costumes and sampling of traditional cuisine.
